[…] We have witnessed an escalation of the profound effect of climate change, even in areas not usually affected by disasters.
CADIS International is a non-profit humanitarian and development foundation of the Order of the Ministers of the Infirm (Camillians) duly registered in the Register of Legal Persons of the Prefecture of Rome.
We provide humanitarian, psychosocial, spiritual and development needs to populations affected by natural and other disasters. Our vision is the fullness of life in an eCon-resilient (ecologically converted and resilient) community.
As a non-profit organization, we can implement emergency and development projects mainly thanks to our donors like you, who, over time, have shown their support by trusting us and allowing us to operate in the contexts most affected by natural and other disasters.
Particularly in recent years, we have witnessed an escalation of the profound effect of climate change, even in areas not usually affected by disasters.
But how can you help CADIS International?
There are several ways to support the Foundation:
- Become a volunteer
- Share our projects, news, quarterly newsletter with family and friends

What does donating to the Emergency Fund mean?
By starting a monthly donation of an amount of your choice, we can operate on several levels. Here are some practical examples:
5€ / month (0.16 cents per day)
Food, water and medicine
When a natural disaster occurs, the population immediately needs basic necessities. Thanks to our resources, we are able to promptly provide everything needed during the first phase. With 5€ we can:
→ provide 1 food kit for 1 month for 1 family,
→ distribute 1 hygiene kit for 1 woman for 1 week,
→ assist 30 individuals in the medical camps to ensure emergency care.
15€ / month (0.50 cents per day)
Immediate response
The readiness for the intervention depends on the organization’s capacity. Thanks to local partners, we can act with means and personnel to reach even the remotest areas affected by earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, etc. With 15€ we are able to:
→ provide a complete health service (visit and medicines) for one month per patient,
→ distribute a complete kit of basic necessities (clothing, food, medicines) per family,
→ provide transport to the nearest hospitals for the most serious cases.
25€ / month (0.83 cents per day)
Long-term response
Once the emergency phase is over, we prepare and listen to people's needs and necessities to initiate resilience projects and ensure a dignified future for survivors. With 25€ we can:
→ ensure access to schooling (stationery kit) for 3 disadvantaged children,
→ provide food for one month to 5 assisted families,
→ support the cost of materials to repair or build a family's home.
These are some concrete examples of what your contribution can do: any support is crucial for us to ensure a quick and dignified recovery for all those affected.
Listen to the stories of some survivors in Kenya or Poland assisted by our intervention programs and support us. Their voices are worth a thousand words.
