The readiness of the intervention also depends on the internal organisation. Thanks to local partners, we can act with means and personnel to reach even the most remote areas. As was the case during the flooding in the Nawabshah district of Pakistan, where our volunteers were able to reach uninhabitable areas.
When a natural disaster occurs, the population is in immediate need of basic necessities. Thanks to our resources, we are able to promptly provide everything needed during the first phase of intervention. We have done this in Pakistan, Ukraine, Turkey and Syria.
Once the emergency phase is over, we listen to people's needs and requirements in order to implement resilience projects and look to the future with confidence. This is what we are doing to provide stability for refugee women and children fleeing the war in Ukraine, or in Kenya to make the population resilient to the persistent drought with professional means and skills.
