Report on CTF Relief Camp at Joldan, Moreh District, Manipur

In response to the serious situation, CTF India, in cooperation with the diocese of Imphal, organised a relief camp in Joldan.

 Location Overview :

Joldan, situated near the Burma (Myanmar) border, has been recently marred by tensions in Manipur, disrupting daily life for its residents. The village faces isolation from mainstream supply chains, leading to shortages of essential goods and medical facilities for over a year. Dependency on Burma for daily commerce was severed due to recent tensions in the region, exacerbating the community's plight.

Relief Efforts by CTF:

In response to the dire situation, the Camillian Task Force (CTF) in collaboration with Imphal Arch Diocese organized a relief camp in Joldan. The camp aimed to provide assistance to the affected population, addressing their immediate needs for sustenance and medical care. CTF's intervention proved crucial, as 520 individuals benefitted from the relief efforts.

Camp Operations:

The relief camp extended into late hours of the night, highlighting the urgency and dedication of CTF's personnel. Medical professionals and team members worked tirelessly to ensure that every individual received the necessary attention and support. Despite the challenges posed by the remote location and limited resources, the camp operated efficiently, providing a ray of hope amidst adversity.

Acknowledgments:

The success of the relief camp owes much to the concerted efforts of CTF's doctors, CM Fathers, MC Sisters, DM Sisters and team members, who selflessly dedicated themselves to serving the community. Their tireless commitment and perseverance in the face of adversity reflect the organization's values and mission. Additionally, gratitude is extended to all stakeholders and supporters who contributed to the relief efforts, demonstrating solidarity and compassion in times of crisis.
